Old-school Entrepreneurship

Did you notice on the Trueroots website, that our fav calling service is now part of the Tata Group? That is great news, as far I’m concerned. I always liked the service. Now I have the satisfaction of knowing it has pedigree. And what a pedigree!

The Tatas are among India’s largest, oldest and most respected corporate entities. But why should that matter? Aren’t all corporate giants the same? Well, this one’s different. It’s got history. It’s more than a century old. It was founded by a visionary who was more interested in nation-building than in mere profit. And that tradition is still maintained. The Tatas are not some Johnny-come-lately out to make a quick buck. The Tata name is a byword for quality and reliability. And what’s more, I know from friends who work for them, that they are great employers too.

With so many options out there, I have one more reason to stick with Trueroots. It seems like a more ethical choice to me. And why does that matter? Because I know that in using this service, I am bestowing my patronage (for that is what customers as opposed to consumers do) on a company that represents old-school entrepreneurship and not some nebulous new-age giant whose profits are fudged and whose ethics are non-existent. This is sound, bricks-and-mortar business. The real deal.
